Claugine Cloud

The service

Claugine Cloud is infrastructure as a service (IaaS) in Kazakhstan. You get virtual machines, GPU servers, storage and networks in our own data centers. Your data stays in the country. You manage everything yourself in the OpenNebula console, and you order and change resources in this portal.

  • Several sites. The cloud runs in more than one data center. Each site has its own compute, storage and network. One console works across the sites of a platform.
  • Network functions included. Every tenant gets its own gateway router, an internet connection with guaranteed bandwidth and public addresses. Corporate clients can also get a corporate network connection. Any tenant can get a dedicated L2 channel to its own site.
  • Rich services. On top of VMs you can build complete services with OpenNebula: multi-VM services with roles and scaling (OneFlow), VM templates, images and marketplace appliances, private networks and virtual routers.
  • Self-service with control. Your organization's admins decide who works in which tenant. Changes that cost money or touch the shared network are approved by our staff, and every change is logged.

How it works

  1. Register your organization with its IIN/BIN. The person who registers becomes the organization admin.
  2. Order a tenant. A tenant is a project with its own resources, network, contract and users. Choose vCPU, RAM, GPU and storage, and the connections you need.
  3. Approval. Our resource manager places the tenant on a cluster and confirms the resources. Depending on the tenant, a sales or support approval may also be needed.
  4. Deployment. The portal creates the tenant automatically: the OpenNebula group and its admin, quotas, the public network and the gateway routers. You can follow every step on the tenant page.
  5. Work. Sign in to the OpenNebula console with the tenant admin account and create VMs. Invite colleagues, change resources and request networks in the portal.

Tenant types and stages

CloudFor external clients. A new cloud tenant starts as a poc (proof of concept) and becomes a client tenant when the contract is signed.
CorporateFor companies of the group (corporate organizations). It can use the corporate network.

Tenant lifecycle: ok → paused → suspended → archived. Portal sign-in keeps working until the tenant is archived.

Security and data

  • All data is kept in data centers in Kazakhstan.
  • Tenants are separated in the console (each tenant is its own OpenNebula group with its own quotas and permissions) and on the network (each tenant has its own networks and gateway).
  • Platform staff always use two-factor authentication. Tenant users can turn it on in their profile.
  • Passwords follow the portal's password policy, which is shown under every password field. Secrets are stored encrypted.
  • Every action in the portal is written to the tenant's or organization's log.
